1. About this policy

LofiCouch is operated by Vicariyan Group LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company ("LofiCouch", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy covers our website, app, watch-party rooms and browser extension.

Our Terms of Service govern use of LofiCouch. For privacy questions, contact hello@loficouch.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, completing your profile, using rooms or contacting us. This includes account and contact details, sign-in information, date of birth, profile details and photos, preferences, messages and information you choose to submit.

We also collect information about your use of LofiCouch, including feature activity, room and playback activity, session duration, device and browser information, IP addresses and diagnostic information. Voice features process audio and connection information needed for communication.

Third-party sign-in services may provide information needed to create or authenticate your account. Information necessary for accounts or requested features must be provided to use those features; optional information is identified where requested. Only share another person's information where you are entitled to do so. Do not submit government identification, financial account details, medical records or other highly sensitive information through rooms or ordinary support messages.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide accounts, rooms, shared playback, chat, voice and friend features.
• Remember preferences and deliver features you request.
• Understand feature use, successful room activity, errors and service performance.
• Secure LofiCouch, prevent misuse and enforce our Terms.
• Provide support and respond to privacy, safety and rights-related requests.
• Send service communications and permitted marketing.
• Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Rooms, profiles and communications

Other participants can see the profile information and activity needed to watch and communicate together. Other participants may copy or record what you share using their own devices. LofiCouch cannot control those independent copies.

Chat messages are transmitted to room participants and retained on our servers for 24 hours. LofiCouch does not provide a stored chat-history feature.

We do not intentionally record or transcribe voice conversations. Voice connections may disclose connection information, including IP addresses, to other participants and communication providers.

Room invitations can be forwarded. A private room does not change the sharing permissions of a linked file or video.

5. Browser extension and video services

Our extension uses information about supported video pages, playback and rooms to synchronize viewing and provide related communication features. Relevant information is processed by LofiCouch and stored on your device where needed for the feature.

We limit extension-data use to its disclosed functionality and permitted related operation, reliability, security and support. Our use and transfer of extension user data adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use or transfer this information for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions or sale to data brokers.

Streaming providers operate independently under their own terms and privacy policies. Google Drive playback may involve temporary processing and delivery of publicly shared video data through our systems. Uninstalling the extension does not automatically delete information already received by LofiCouch.

6. Analytics and cookies

We use app analytics to understand feature use, room activity and service reliability. Some usage records can be linked to your account or session and are not anonymous.

We separately use optional website Google Analytics. Cookies and similar technologies also support sign-in, preferences and essential service functions.

You can accept or decline optional website analytics in the cookie banner. To change your choice, return to this Privacy Policy page and choose Accept or Decline in the banner. Choosing Decline stops future optional website collection. You can manage app analytics consent from your app profile. Website and app choices apply to the analytics covered by their respective controls. Processing necessary for requested features, security or legal obligations may continue.

Changing consent controls future optional collection covered by that choice. It does not automatically delete information already collected. Blocking essential browser storage may affect service functionality.

7. Service messages, marketing and reviews

We may contact you electronically about accounts, security, support and service administration. We may also send product updates and marketing where permitted by law, obtaining consent where required.

To stop marketing emails, use the instructions in the message or email hello@loficouch.com. Necessary service communications may continue.

Under the marketing licence in our Terms, we may use testimonials and reviews you submit to LofiCouch or publicly post about it after agreeing to those Terms, with your first name only. No separate approval is required for uses covered by that licence, except where applicable law or platform rules require otherwise. Private room messages and support conversations are not public testimonials.

8. Who receives information

We share relevant information with room participants and providers supporting hosting, authentication, communications, analytics, security and support. Providers receive information relevant to their role and process it under applicable terms and legal requirements.

Authorized personnel may access information for relevant operational, support, security and legal purposes, subject to access restrictions and additional restrictions applicable to extension data.

We may preserve or disclose relevant information where permitted or required by law to respond to lawful requests, investigate misuse, enforce our Terms, address rights complaints or protect LofiCouch's rights, property and safety.

If LofiCouch is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or transfer of its business or assets, relevant information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards, applicable law, this policy's commitments and any required notice or consent. Extension-derived information remains subject to its additional transfer restrictions, including explicit prior consent where required. This does not permit selling personal information as a standalone product.

Our providers may process information in India, the United States and other countries. We apply safeguards required by applicable law for international transfers.

9. Future advertising and paid features

We reserve the right to introduce advertising, sponsorships, paid features and subscriptions as described in our Terms. This does not mean we currently share information with an advertising network or payment processor.

Before introducing new personal-information collection or disclosure, we will explain the relevant purposes and recipients and obtain any consent required by law. Advertising permission does not override applicable tracking choices or extension-data restrictions. We will not sell personal information.

10. Retention and account deletion

You can delete your account from your app profile. Following account deletion, associated account data is retained for 30 days before removal, except information that must be kept longer for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention or legal claims.

Chat messages follow the separate 24-hour retention period described above. Other records, including analytics, support correspondence and security records, are kept for their relevant purposes and applicable retention requirements. Recovery copies may follow separate deletion cycles.

Deletion does not remove information independently retained by other participants or third-party providers.

11. Your choices and eligibility

You can manage available profile settings, microphone permissions and analytics choices, uninstall the extension and delete your account. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a portable copy of or restrict processing of your information, withdraw consent, object to particular uses or complain to a relevant authority. Email hello@loficouch.com to make a request.

We may verify identity or authority where appropriate. Where legally permitted, we may limit or decline requests that cannot be verified, would disclose another person's information or protected confidential material, or conflict with a legal retention requirement or other applicable exception. We will respond and explain any limitations as required by applicable law. These limits do not remove rights or remedies that law makes mandatory.

LofiCouch requires a minimum age of 13, or any higher applicable minimum. Users in India must be at least 18. If we become aware of an ineligible account, we may restrict access and handle the related information as required by law. Age entry does not independently verify identity or age.

12. Security and policy changes

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your credentials private and share invitations carefully.

We may update this policy as LofiCouch changes. The published version will show its update date. We will provide notice and obtain additional consent where required by law.
