What LofiCouch Collects

When you create or use an account, LofiCouch may collect your name, username, email address, profile image choice, login method, password authentication details, and saved room preferences.

When you use rooms, LofiCouch may process room names, room codes, playlist items, video source details, playback state, chat messages, room invite notifications, reactions, room membership, and basic activity needed to keep rooms synchronized.

Voice Chat And Media

Voice chat uses your browser and connection to make live room audio work. LofiCouch does not intentionally record or store voice conversations. Your browser may ask for microphone permission before voice chat can start.

LofiCouch does not own or host third-party videos that you choose to play from services such as YouTube or Google Drive. Those services may process your use under their own policies.

Browser Extension

The LofiCouch browser extension runs only on LofiCouch and the supported streaming services listed in the extension, including Netflix and Crunchyroll. It may read the current page URL, title or video identifier, playback state, playback position, playback rate, and available page metadata so the room can open the same title and keep playback synchronized.

The extension stores pairing details in Chrome storage on your device, such as room code, participant ID, resume token, role, and backend connection details. It sends room pairing, playback sync, chat, and reaction events to LofiCouch realtime servers only to provide the shared-room experience. It does not proxy, download, decrypt, capture, or restream protected video.

How Information Is Used

We use information to run the product, keep playback and playlists in sync, show your saved and joined rooms, deliver account features, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand product usage, such as room creation, joins, messages, session length, and feature health. We do not sell your personal information.

Information handled by the LofiCouch extension is used only to provide or improve LofiCouch room synchronization, reliability, abuse prevention, and support. We do not use or transfer extension user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.

Storage And Security

LofiCouch uses service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, and realtime infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Your Choices

You can choose what room names, messages, playlist items, and profile details you share. You can leave or delete rooms where the product provides those controls. For account, deletion, or privacy requests, contact us at hello@loficouch.com.

Children

LofiCouch is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
